College Football Baby!!!

Thank God the college football season has started again. Go Illini. Now something good is actually on TV on Saturday's for the next few months! I have been waiting for the college football season to start for several months now! Here is to hoping the Illini has another good season. We didn't start off so hot with our first game against Mizzou, but we held our own and definitely made them earn their win tonight. Here is to hoping we see a win next weekend against Eastern Illinois!

Cooking with Ava...

Ava wanted to help me make my spaghetti sauce tonight. Don't worry the burner on the stove wasn't turned on yet. She had so much fun helping me pour in the seasoning and tomato sauce. She kept singing "Stir, stir, stir, the soup. Stir along with me". She loves "helping" me in the kitchen. I think you can see in a couple of the pictures her little toy containers. She had to have those and pretend like she was pouring in more ingredients. Too cute.

One happy little chef! Perhaps the next Rachael Ray!

The Funny Faces of Ava

She never ceases to make me smile and laugh on a daily basis. This morning she got up and was just in such a silly mood. She was having so much fun making me laugh with all the silly faces she would make. And what is so funny to me, is that she would come up with these different expresssions all on her own. I think I might just have a mini comedian on my hands here! I just love her personality. :)

Silly Girl...

My Mom left her reading glasses over at my house today when she came over to visit. Ava found them sitting on one of the end tables in the living room. So Ava decided to put them on and show me just how silly she is. When she put them on she said "Look at me Mommy, I'm so silly". Her and I got a good laugh out of her wearing the glasses.

I, of course, could not let this opportunity pass by without taking some pictures of her sporting the glasses. Even though the glasses are quite oversized for her, I still think she looked quite adorable as well. :)

Ava saw this piece of string right outside out front door today. So she went and got two rocks to make eyes and make it a smiley face. She didn't move the string or anything. I was so surprised that just by seeing the string she automatically knew it would make the perfect smiley face. What an amazing toddler she is. At least I think so anyway. :)

It isn't too often that Ava gets to enjoy some Oreo cookies. In fact, they are a special treat when she does. Today, I felt like letting her enjoy a special treat, so I let her have some Oreo cookies and milk. She was in heaven. She even informed me that "she loooooves cookies". She was definitely one very happy girl eating her Oreo cookies today! :)
